“This past week, deputies responded to reports of a subject smashing windows in the Train Village area. Several storefront windows along Auburn Ravine Road appeared to be smashed, including the Taco Bell, Starbucks and Shingle Springs Tribal TANF. Additionally, deputies observed a broken bench at the Red Lion Inn.

Deputies and detectives began searching the area for the suspect, and PCSO’s helicopter, Falcon 30, was also deployed. During the search, Detective Byers spotted a male matching the description of the suspect walking out of the Dollar Store. A positive identification was made using surveillance video from a nearby business. The suspect, 39-year old Justin Zillyette of Auburn, was subsequently arrested and charged with vandalism of more than $400.”
