Lodi man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

41-year-old John Lisby of Lodi has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a reported shooting.

Officers responded to the area of Auto Center Drive, near Beckman Road, around 3 PM on January 19 to find an adult male who’d sustained several gunshot wounds. He has since been hospitalized and is in stable condition.

Police were quickly able to identify Lisby as the primary suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody on January 20 on the 400 block of E. Kettleman Lane.

Police believe Lisby and the victim knew each other but have yet to ascertain a motive. The gun Lisby is alleged to have used has also been recovered.
