On November 6, 2023, at approximately 0609 hours, the CHP Stockton Communications Center (STCC) received a call of body on the left shoulder of the Tracy Boulevard off-ramp from I-205 westbound. At approximately 0616 hours, CHP units arrived on scene and located a deceased male adult lying on his back on the left shoulder of the Tracy Boulevard off-ramp. Based on physical evidence, it was determined the male adult (pedestrian) was struck by a vehicle, which caused the fatal injuries. After the crash, the vehicle fled the scene westbound on the Tracy Boulevard off-ramp.
