Traffic stop and pursuit lead to accident and weapons arrest

STOCKTON – On the evening of Saturday December 28 near 8:30 pm, officers with the Stockton Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle at Hammer Lane and Lan Arc.

The vehicle in question at first appeared to stop, but then the driver took off  at a high rate of speed and a pursuit was initiated.

Before long the fleeing driver hit another vehicle and the center median before rolling over onto its top.

The driver and occupant both took off. 19-year-old Andy Le, the driver, was captured on the Carl’s Jr. parking lot. While his passanger  managed to escape.

Inside the vehicle officers found a loaded AR pistol and a shotgun with ammunition.

After a hospital visit, Le was later booked into the County Jail for multiple weapons charges, robbery, and other traffic offenses.
