FORT BRAGG –  On October 18th, Mendocino County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two  local men in relation to a residential burglary that occurred in the 31000 block of Highway 20.

One of the three residential units at that location was reportedly under remodel and multiple construction tools that were being stored inside had been stolen during the night. The stolen tools allegedly totaled an estimated $940.

Detectives revealed that the suspects had left potential evidence behind at the scene. Soon, the investigation produced the name of a person of interest – 31-year-old Aaron Guillory of Fort Bragg.

The investigation then went through three stages. First, detectives recovered some of the stolen property at a residence in the 29700 block of Highway 20.

Next, they contacted and arrested Guillory in the 32800 block of Boice Lane after discovering some of the stolen property in his possession.

Finally, they contacted 23-year-old Devan Tompkins at a residence in the 16900 block of Ocean Drive. Tompkins was also arrested after they discovered him to be in possession of the remaining stolen property.

Both suspects are charged with residential burglary, conspiracy and stolen property. Each of them have a bail set at $50,000.
