Ukiah Man Arrested for Alleged Domestic Battery, Kidnapping
UKIAH, CA — “On 04/23/2026 at approximately 9:40 P.M., Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of Third Street in Ukiah, CA for a reported domestic disturbance. The reporting party, a 16-year-old male, advised that his mother, a 39-year-old female Ukiah resident, was involved in a physical altercation with her boyfriend, identified as Eleuterio Montalvo-Perez.
Upon arrival, Deputies conducted a domestic violence investigation and contacted the parties involved. The 39-year-old female was determined to be the victim. The female reported she and Montalvo-Perez were in a dating relationship and reside together with their respective children.
The incident began as a verbal dispute and escalated into a physical altercation. Montalvo-Perez allegedly forced the victim onto a bed before pulling her onto the floor and physically moved the victim approximately 15 feet through the living room. During the incident, the victim struck Montalvo-Perez with a glass object in self-defense, which subsequently ended the altercation.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and provided treatment to those involved.
Deputies contacted four juveniles who were present at the residence and witnesses to the incident: an 8-year-old male, a 13-year-old female, a 7-year-old male, and the 16-year-old male reporting party.
Following interviews, Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a thorough evaluation of the scene and located physical evidence consistent with the victim’s statement. Based on the totality of the investigation, Sheriff’s Deputies established probable cause to arrest Montalvo-Perez for 273.5 PC – Domestic Battery Causing Injury, 207 PC – Kidnapping, and 273a(b) PC – Child Endangerment.
Montalvo-Perez was arrested and transported to the Mendocino County Jail where he is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
