Independence Day Disturbance Results in Damaged Cars

LOS BANOS – On Independence Day evening a disturbance required a LBPD response to the 600 block of Winepress Street.

39-year-old Mariano Sanchez began hitting his ex-girlfriend’s car with a board after becoming upset with her.

The he drove his white 1997 Ford Thunderbird into the back of her car. He “forced the parked vehicle through the closed garage door.

Additionally, two officers were in the area on an unrelated call and “witnessed the incident.” Then Sanchez sped past them south on Stonewood Drive.

Finally, the fleeing suspect hit a parked vehicle, then “two additional parked vehicles and a fence.”

After responders removed the pinned Sanchez, he received hospital treatment  for minor injuries.

Afterwards, in jail, his charge is felony vandalism and his bail is $5,000.
