HOLLISTER — Police have begun an investigation into the shooting death of 40-year-old Lisa Hall after she was found suffering from a gunshot wound on August 8th.

At around 1:14 that morning, officers arrived at Hazel Hawkins Hospital after receiving a report that a woman had been shot. She later passed away from her injuries.

Police say she was brought to the hospital “by a man that would not or could not provide information about her injury.” It is believed that she’d been shopping in downtown Hollister earlier that night with the same man, after which the two left in a “dark blue GMC pickup with a camper shell” (pictured on the right).

What happened between then and when she arrived at the hospital remains uncertain.

Police are continuing to pursue leads. Any member of the public who may have information that might assist the investigation is urged to contact Hollister PD.
