Woman Arrested after Stabbing Husband

OROVILLE — On December 23rd at around 4 PM, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a man approaching houses on Rosita Way saying he’d been stabbed by his wife.

Deputies responded and contacted the man, confirming that he’d suffered a non-life-threatening stab wound to the chest.

Investigation pieced together that he’d gotten into an argument with his wife, later identified as Lisa Belyew, at their Rosita Way home. The argument eventually escalated to physical, at which point Belyew stabbed him in the chest.

Deputies also learned that Belyew was out on her own recognizance after a Colusa County arrest for assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, and destruction of property.

Butte County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Belyew for assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, and committing a felony while out on her own recognizance. She was booked into county jail with bail set at $105,000.
