Suspect in Norco Burglary Spree Arrested

Edgar Torres Garcia

NORCO – Riverside County Sheriffs arrested a Moreno Valley man in connection with a burglary spree that hit six restaurants in a single evening in Norco.

Police arrested Edgar Torres-Garcia, 23, on December 29 and charged him with six counts of commercial burglary. Torres-Garcia is suspected of burglarizing six restaurants in Norco in the early morning hours of November 26.

He was booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center and his bail was set at $80,000.

Riverside County sheriffs said they used video footage obtained in some of the burglaries to identify Torres-Garcia as a suspect.

In a statement, the sheriff’s department said “the method of entry and video footage of the suspect were similar” but that “suspect information and leads were limited” for several weeks following the burglaries.
