HAWTHORNE, CA—What should one expect when tempted with a video game scenario?

Juan Angel Arias, 26, was picked up by Hawthorne police on Saturday, January 25 at approximately 8:15 p.m.

The Torrance resident, who lives on the  22400 block of Normandie Avenue, was arrested along the 13500 block of Chadron in Hawthorne for “grand theft auto,” “tak[ing a] vehicle without owning it” and “buying or receiving stolen motor vehicles, trailers, special construction equipment or vessels.” Bail was set at $25,000 for each of the three charges. The 5’5″, 170-lb. man had no priors listed.

Arias described himself as a mechanic, which leads one to wonder what he would have done with all those vehicles if he were a armored truck security guard with a license to carry a firearm.
