Police Arrest Murder Suspect in Domestic Violence Incident

After responding to a domestic violence incident Sunday afternoon, police arrested a San Leandro man suspected of murdering his wife.

On Sunday, July 7 at 4:15 p.m., San Leandro Police Officers responded to the 15200 block of Hesperian Boulevard to deal with a possible domestic violence incident. Upon their arrival, an unresponsive 60-year-old woman was found inside. Paramedics responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

During their investigation, police detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the victim’s husband, Zoann Shipp, a 42-year old San Leandro resident, charging him with murder.
