Stanislaus Sheriff’s Department Search for Suspect in Shooting Case

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department is searching for any clues that will lead them to the suspect involved in the shooting death of 21 year-old Ricardo Cobb of Georgia.

Around 2 p.m. of Thursday afternoon, deputies were dispatched to a house in the 1200 block of Figaro Avenue in Modesto for a call of a person shot.

When deputies arrived at the house, they found a vehicle parked in the house’s driveway. Inside the car was Cobb, who was slumped over and had a gunshot wound. When emergency personnel arrived at the scene, they declared Cobb deceased.

So far, detectives know that Cobb was the passenger in the vehicle. While he and the driver were traveling on Robertson Road, someone fired shots at their vehicle. After Cobb was wounded, the driver then brought the vehicle to the 1200 block of Figaro Avenue and called 911.

Detectives later searched Robertson Road and were unable to determine where the shooting took place.
