Search continues for missing Morgan Hill teen

Community concern is rapidly growing as the weeklong search for missing Sierra LaMar has turned up no clues as to her whereabouts.

LaMar was last seen on Friday, March 16 leaving her mother’s house for school. She never made it to class.

Santa Clara County Sheriff’s investigators have been joined by community volunteers and members of the Klaas Kids foundation in their search, but no new leads have arisen from their efforts.

According to Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Jose Cardoza, the department has received more than 350 tips and more than 40 investigators have been assigned to the case.

Investigators combed a three-mile radius surrounding LaMar’s Morgan Hill home on Monday. Follow-up interviews with classmates and friends of the missing 15-year-old were also conducted.

Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact Santa Clara County Communications at (408) 299-2311 or the anonymous tip line at (408) 808-4431. Tips may also be emailed to tips@sheriff.sccgov.org.
