Milpitas police seeking armed robbery suspect

Milpitas police are searching for an armed robber who held up a liquor store clerk at gunpoint and managed to flee with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say the incident occurred at about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday night at Dixon Mart and Liquor, located at 81 Dixon Road.

According to authorities, the unknown suspect entered the store and brandished a handgun, demanding money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled on foot. He allegedly fired one shot, but no one was struck by any gunfire.

The suspect is described as being Hispanic, about 30 years old, 5-feet-10-inches tall and about 180 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing black clothes and had a bandanna covering his face, police say.
