Here’s a story from Santa Clara, along with some helpful tips from the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office official Facebook page-

“On 1/27/2020, Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested 35-year-old Kasey Backherms for a vehicle theft that occurred in November of last year at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.

After conducting a thorough investigation, detectives were able to piece together evidence using latent fingerprints and surveillance videos to identify Backherms as the suspect. Backherms was arrested and booked into the Main Jail.

Outstanding work by our Patrol and Investigations Units! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Here are a few easy ways you can help protect your vehicle and increase your safety.
1.Lock the doors and close the windows. Don’t make it easy for a thief to break in or reach in and snatch anything of value! 🔒
2.Don’t leave your car running and unattended. 🚗
3.Park in well-lit areas.💡
4.Hide any valuables.💎
5.Invest in an anti-theft system.🚨”
