Orange County Teacher Arrested for Alleged Lewd Texts with Minor

ORANGE COUNTY — On November 18, 2022, at 7:00 pm, officers from North Patrol became aware of a video posted to social media from somewhere in unincorporated Santa Ana.
The video appeared to show a male confronting a teacher about alleged suspicious texts with a minor.
Orange County Sheriff’s Special Victims Detail investigated and found that the subject in the video had pretended to be a minor in order to expose the suspect.
On November 23, officers arrested 47-year-old Long Beach resident Roger Kavigan and booked him at the Orange County jail in suspicion of contacting a minor with intent of committing sexual assault.
