“Merced – A 15 old was arrested for street racing and illegal fireworks & his vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
On June 22, 2021 at 1237 P.M. a silver mustang was see street racing in the area of M St. and Arrowood Dr.
Officer McKeeman located the vehicle at Olive Ave. and M St. He contacted the 15 year old driver who was observed driving on the wrong side of the road and failing to stop at the stop signs at both Arrowood Dr. and Barclay Way.
A search of the vehicle turned up illegal fireworks in the trunk. The 15 year old driver was cited for reckless driving, driving without a license and possession of illegal fireworks, and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.”
