For six years, 37-year old Saul Velazco worked as a clerk at a convenience store near Shields and Clovis Avenues in Fresno.

On December 2, 2020, he was killed while on the job. Homicide detectives tracked the investigation to suspect Jose Verduzco, 28-year old Parkside Bulldog gang member.

Verduzco is believed to have pulled up to the business and without hesitation, fatally shoot Velazco multiple times. The truck Verduzco was driving, a black 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck, license 99021V2, is still missing.

Three days later, December 5, 2020, Verduzco is suspected to have gunned down 36-year old Nicole Saenz inside a home near Olive and Hughes Avenues. An interpersonal dispute is determined as the motive for this homicide.

Verduzco was arrested and has been booked into the Fresno County Jail for both murders where he remains in custody at the time of this writing.
