Fresno Police Need Help Finding Five Most Wanted Suspects

Adell Vaughn, Christopher Richards and Delonte Love

FRESNO – Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer is asking for the public’s assistance in finding the city’s five most-wanted suspects and taking them into custody.

The suspects are wanted for various crimes, including shooting at undercover officers, holding a knife to a woman’s throat during a home invasion robbery, and carjacking.

The five sought after men are: Adell Vaughn, 19; Christopher Richards, 27; Delonte Love, 24; Michael Mitchell, 30; and Gabriel Osorio, 25.

Dyer said that the Fresno Police Department has “exhausted its efforts in trying to locate these individuals.”

Vaughn is wanted in connection to shooting at undercover officers during a chase last Wednesday, Dyer said.

Vaugh and driver, 18-year-old Miles Ali Banks, were being followed because of their alleged connection to a gang-related shooting the previous day. Video surveillance of that incident showed Banks and Vaughn firing into a crowd of people made up mostly of women and young children walking near an apartment complex on the 1500 block of North Winery Avenue.

Dyer said it was “very fortunate” that no innocent children or women were hurt in the incident.

Gabriel Osorio

Christopher Richards is wanted in connection to his alleged involvement in an officer-involved shooting in December, in which several men fired at police officers at Jensen and Walnut avenues. Richards also has an outstanding warrant for helping another shooting suspect avoid police.

Michael Mitchell, called “the most violent criminal in Fresno” by Chief Dyer, was allegedly involved in at least seven separate shootings in the city. The most recent incident involved Mitchell opening fire at a man and woman who were driving in their car near Effie Street and Pontiac Way, Dyer said.

Delonte Love was arrested in the same shooting, but police released him soon after. Dyer said that there is now enough evidence against him to arrest him again, but they cannot locate him.

Gabriel Osorio is suspected of holding a knife to a woman’s throat during a home invasion robbery on Jan. 24 in Fresno. Dyer said he is also suspected of carjacking a man on Friday and stealing his 2013 silver Chevrolet.
