Patrol Officers Seize Drugs and 18 Firearms During Investigation

“Exceptional police work and attention to detail by Roseville Patrol Officers led to the seizure of illegal drugs, a large marijuana grow operation, and 18 firearms during a recent investigation.

On October 11, Roseville patrol officers responded to a residence on Herbert Street to serve an arrest warrant and conduct a probation search. During the search, officers located drug paraphernalia, illegal narcotics, and evidence of a significant indoor marijuana cultivation operation.

Recognizing indicators of additional criminal activity, officers secured the residence and obtained a search warrant from a Placer County judge. The subsequent search uncovered methamphetamine, fentanyl, several pounds of processed marijuana, additional drug paraphernalia, and 18 firearms, including handguns, rifles, and assault-style weapons.

During the investigation, officers determined the homeowner was prohibited from possessing firearms under California law due to their narcotics addiction. As a result, all 18 firearms were seized as evidence.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of two individuals, who were booked into the South Placer County Jail on a variety of weapons, and narcotics related charges.

This case highlights the diligence and professionalism of our patrol officers, who routinely adapt to evolving situations, conduct thorough investigations, and work tirelessly to keep illegal drugs and illegal firearms out of our community.”
