CONCORD — Thomas J. Iovenitti, 40, of Concord, was rearrested in October
for allegedly murdering his wife. Iovenitti was free on bond for a prior arrest
involving domestic violence. Now he is in custody ineligible for release on
bond, pending a court hearing on November 12.
Iovenitti allegedly fatally stabbed 40-year-old Alisha Iovenitti on October 23. She
suffered multiple stab wounds, and was pronounced dead at the scene. This
tragedy occurred at the couple’s residence on the 2300 block of Panoramic
Drive in Concord.
The husband was previously arrested on May 9 for assault with a deadly
weapon, corporal injury to a spouse, and false imprisonment. He was released
from custody on May 19 for $1,000 bond.
A judge issued a protective order prohibiting him from contacting his wife, or
returning to the residence. His prior domestic violence case is also still pending.
Concord police responding to the second domestic violence incident also found
the husband inside the residence, unresponsive with stab wounds.
He was transported to a hospital for medical treatment, while in police custody, until he
was later booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on October 28.
The following charges have been filed against Iovenitti –
· Murder
