FONTANA, CA — A federal court has sentenced 42-year-old Ryan Van De Car to 136 months in federal prison following a multi-agency investigation into the production, distribution, and possession of child sexual abuse material.
The case originated in November 2023 when the FBI’s Inland Regional Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force notified the Fontana Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit of Van De Car’s activities. Undercover operations revealed that Van De Car, an identified member of the Hells Angels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, utilized numerous social media and messaging platforms—including accounts on Kik and Telegram—to solicit, produce, and distribute illicit material involving juvenile victims across the nation.
Van De Car was arrested in December 2023 during operations conducted in Chino and Temecula. Forensic analysis of seized electronic devices subsequently uncovered evidence of adapted child pornography and obscene depictions of minor sexual abuse. The matter marked the first time the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California charged the production of adapted child pornography, representing only the third such prosecution nationwide.
Following a four-count federal indictment returned in April 2025, Van De Car entered a guilty plea to all charges on March 5, 2026.
On Sept. 3, 2026, the court imposed the 136-month prison term, to be followed by lifetime federal supervised release. Conditions of his probation strictly prohibit any association or contact with documented members of the Hells Angels organization.
The prosecution was led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Mirelle Raza, with investigative collaboration from the Fontana Police Department, the FBI, the Orange County Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory, the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office, and the Los Angeles ICAC Task Force.
