California Highway Patrol Officers Arrest Driver for Reportedly Driving-Under-The-Influence on Crows Landing Road
MODESTO, CA– A driver was taken into custody following a traffic stop and driving-under-the-influence investigation on Crows Landing Road.
A California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer initiated a stop after observing a vehicle traveling 76 mph in a designated 55 mph speed limit zone. During the course of the interaction, the officer identified indicators of physical impairment.
Following a subsequent DUI investigation at the scene, law enforcement officers arrested the driver.
CHP officials noted that high speeds diminish driver reaction times, while impaired operation increases danger for all motorists on the roadway. Authorities remind the public to arrange alternative transportation when consuming alcohol or other impairing substances.
