Greenville Resident Arrested Following Investigation Into Lake Almanor Burglaries and Theft
PLUMAS COUNTY, CA — Authorities in Plumas County have taken a Greenville man into custody in connection with a series of property crimes reported in the Lake Almanor region.
Over recent weeks, law enforcement conducted an inquiry into several reports involving stolen vehicles, home burglaries, and theft along the East Shore of Lake Almanor. On September 16, 2026, Plumas County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives initially apprehended Robert Huck of Greenville. During that arrest, officers cited Huck for possession of a stolen automobile, illegal narcotics, and a device used for code-grabbing.
Following his release on bail the next week, the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Unit gathered additional evidence and submitted multiple cases to the local District Attorney’s Office. Prosecutors subsequently obtained felony warrants charging Huck with vehicle theft, grand theft, residential burglary, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
Detectives located Huck in Greenville on September 30, 2026, where he was taken into custody without incident and processed at the Plumas County Jail, where he remains in custody as of Tuesday October 6th, according to jail records.
Law enforcement officials acknowledged the assistance provided by local residents and victims throughout the multi-week inquiry.
Public records show that Huck has an extensive history of arrests in Plumas County dating back several years, including prior arrests for vehicle theft, drug possession, weapon offenses, and failure to appear on felony charges.
