Gang Altercation Reportedly Leads to School Lockdown in Healdsburg
HEALDSBURG, CA — “On September 18, 2026, at about 10:37 a.m., Sonoma County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported disturbance involving a firearm in the 11000 block of Los Amigos Road.
The incident was first reported to a school official, who immediately contacted law enforcement. Deputies learned that the confrontation had taken place roughly 30 minutes earlier. By the time officers arrived, the three suspects were already on the Healdsburg High School campus and attending class.
At 10:47 am, based on the information provided by law enforcement, Healdsburg High School implemented a shelter-in-place in response to a student on campus who was possibly armed with a firearm. Numerous deputies and Healdsburg Police Officers responded and detained the three suspects on school grounds. The lockdown lasted approximately 50 minutes. No firearm was located on campus.
The incident started when two victims were leaving a residence for school when a silver car blocked their path. A juvenile suspect exited and confronted one adult victim; the two exchanged gang-related insults. A second vehicle then pulled up behind them, and a juvenile passenger got out. The victim retrieved a machete from his car to defend himself, while the passenger returned to the second vehicle and retrieved a black firearm he held at his side. The victims escaped by driving away.
The three juveniles were subsequently arrested and booked into Los Guilicos Juvenile Hall on the following charges:
* A 16-year-old was arrested for false imprisonment, challenging another person to a fight, conspiracy to commit a crime, a gang enhancement, and possession of alcohol on school property.
* A second 16-year-old was arrested for challenging another person to a fight, brandishing a firearm, conspiracy to commit a crime, and a gang enhancement.
* A 17-year-old was arrested for conspiracy to commit a crime, a gang enhancement, and possession of alcohol on school property.
