A Healdsburg man has been arrested on various charges including felony reckless evading and possession of drugs.

On the afternoon of November 5, a Santa Rosa CHP officer clocked a BMW headed in his direction at over 100 mph, occasionally crossing double yellow lines to pass slower cars.

The officer attempted an enforcement stop but the driver continued on, and the pursuit began.

The officer chased the BMW westbound toward SR-1, where the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle while trying to make a turn, ultimately stranding the BMW in a field.

At that point driver, identified only as a 27-year-old Healdsburg man, surrendered peacefully.

He has since been arrested and booked on suspicion of felony reckless evading, possession of drugs, and possession of dangerous drugs for sale.
