Authorities Reportedly Discover Cache of Illegal Weapons in Unattended Van in San Jose
SAN JOSE, CA — “A deputy from our Headquarters Patrol team spotted a white van tucked away in a remote part of unincorporated San Jose. What first appeared to be an odd, unattended vehicle quickly turned into something far more concerning.
Inside, deputies found a man along with several illegal weapons, including a short barrel rifle with an altered serial number, a ghost gun, and loaded high-capacity magazines. A search of the van also uncovered methamphetamine, drug related items, and several commercial grade grenades, later determined to be smoke grenades. Our Bomb Squad responded to safely handle and secure them.
The suspect, Tyler Anderson, 40, of San Jose — a convicted felon — was arrested on multiple felony charges and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.”
