Hesperia Resident Arrested on Child Sexual Abuse Material Charges Following NCMEC Investigation
SAN BERNARDINO, CA – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 29-year-old Hesperia resident on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, following an investigation into online solicitation and child sexual abuse material.
The investigation began on July 13, 2026, when Detective Elizabeth Holguin of the Specialized Investigations Division – Crimes Against Children Detail received a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Investigators determined that the suspect, identified as Cameron David Nelson, utilized an online chat platform to communicate with a 15-year-old female resident of Minnesota. According to authorities, Nelson misrepresented his age as 17 and solicited explicit images from the victim.

Detectives served a search warrant in the 16000 block of Adelia Street in Hesperia at approximately 8:30 a.m. Following the investigation, Nelson was taken into custody and booked into the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto on charges of contacting a minor to commit a sex offense (PC 288.3(a)) and possession of child sexual abuse material (PC 311.11(a)). He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
