CHP Traffic Stop on Soquel Avenue Leads to DUI and Narcotics Arrest
SANTA CRUZ, CA – California Highway Patrol officers arrested a 43-year-old Scotts Valley resident on driving under the influence and narcotics charges following a traffic stop on Soquel Avenue.
The enforcement action occurred Wednesday night, shortly before the conclusion of the agency’s Holiday Enforcement Period. Officers initiated the stop after observing a traffic violation. During the interaction with the driver, officers noted signs of impairment.
Following an on-scene investigation, the driver was taken into custody. The suspect faces multiple charges, including driving under the influence and possession of controlled substances with intent to sell.
