Two Juvenile Suspects Reportedly Arrested in Fairfield Shooting Investigation

FAIRFIELD, CA — “On August 28, at approximately 12:15 p.m., officers responded to Phoenix Drive and E. Travis Boulevard following reports of a fight that escalated into a shooting.

Officers located shell casings in the 1500 block of Phoenix Drive and quickly detained several subjects nearby to determine their involvement. Follow-up investigative leads brought officers to three Fairfield residences tied to the incident.

Drone pilots with the Real-Time Intelligence Center (RTIC) deployed over these locations to provide continuous aerial coverage for ground teams. While overhead, a drone pilot spotted a suspect leaving one of the homes. The pilot relayed real-time updates to officers on the ground, who quickly took the suspect into custody.

The drone pilot then responded to a second location and observed subjects discarding items inside a vehicle. Officers secured search warrants for the residence and vehicle, ultimately recovering three firearms: a rifle and two handguns.

In total, two juvenile suspects were arrested and booked into Solano County Juvenile Hall on charges including assault with a deadly weapon and illegal possession of a firearm.

This successful outcome was made possible through the use of progressive technology available to law enforcement, combined with the dedication and expertise of the personnel assigned to the investigation.”
