Pursuit in El Dorado Hills: 1 Rider Arrested, Investigation Ongoing
EL DORADO HILLS, CA — September 1st 2026 — “Last night, CHP officers responded to multiple calls regarding a group of motorcycles and electric motorcycles being ridden recklessly and dangerously throughout El Dorado Hills.
The riders repeatedly taunted residents and officers, generating a significant law enforcement response. When officers attempted to stop one of the motorcycles, the rider fled, leading officers on a pursuit. The pursuit ended when the 16-year-old Folsom resident crashed. He was arrested and booked into a juvenile detention facility in South Lake Tahoe.
While one rider was arrested, our work is not finished. This is an ongoing criminal investigation, and CHP investigators are working to identify the other riders involved in this group and hold them accountable for their actions.
Our relentless pursuit of safety on El Dorado County roads will not waver. Reckless and dangerous riding puts the riders, residents, and everyone sharing our roads at risk.
