Fresno Man Arrested for Allegedly Evading Police in Stolen Vehicle, DUI

FRESNO, CA — “On August 28, 2026, at approximately 11:50 pm, Central District Safety Team Officers conducted a traffic stop on a reported stolen vehicle at East Olive Avenue and North Linden Avenue. The vehicle did not yield to the officers and fled. Officers did not pursue. Officers located the unoccupied vehicle near North Ferger Avenue and East Olive Avenue and saw the driver running away from the vehicle.

Officers surrounded the area and a yard-to-yard search of the area was conducted with patrol officers, Neighborhood Traffic Unit (NTU) officers, Multi-Agency Gang Consortium (MAGEC) officers, a K-9, and the assistance of our air unit AIR1. The driver, who was later identified as 30-year-old Jacob Ryan, attempted to evade officers by running out of the perimeter but was quickly taken into custody. He was booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges related to the stolen vehicle as well as DUI.”
