Rohnert Park Police Arrest Juvenile in Connection with Shooting on Hunter Drive
ROHNERT PARK, CA — “In the early afternoon of Saturday, August 29th, Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety Dispatch received a report of an unknown suspect shooting at a building on Hunter Dr, Rohnert Park. The suspect fled the area in a vehicle. The reporting party was able to photograph the suspect vehicle, including the license plate. The incident caused a large glass window on the side of the business to shatter.
Rohnert Park DPS patrol units began checking the area for the suspect vehicle. Utilizing the Flock Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) system, a Rohnert Park DPS patrol unit located the suspect vehicle a short time later and initiated a high-risk vehicle stop in a parking lot on Arlen Drive.
Three juveniles were detained. A replica Glock-style BB gun was located in the vehicle. One of the juveniles was ultimately arrested and booked at the Los Guilicos Juvenile Detention Center for felony vandalism and displaying an imitation firearm in public.”
