Police Arrest Parolee for Felony DUI Following Two-Vehicle Crash on Prado Road
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA — A 49-year-old man was arrested on the morning of Thursday August 27th on felony driving under the influence charges following a two-vehicle collision that occurred on on Prado Road.
At approximately 8:45 a.m. on August 27, 2026, San Luis Obispo Police Department officers responded to reports of a traffic collision near 56 Prado Road. Upon arrival, officers determined that a silver Nissan had struck a white Ford. Both drivers sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.
During the initial investigation, officers observed signs of impairment in the driver of the Nissan, identified as Michael Pecile, 49. Following field sobriety tests, officers placed Pecile under arrest. Investigators also verified that Pecile is currently on active parole.
Pecile was transported to a local medical facility for treatment before being transferred to the San Luis Obispo County Jail. He was booked on charges of felony DUI causing injury and felony parole violation.
