San Luis Obispo PD arrests Man Brandishing a Firearm

On December 9th, 2022 San Luis Obispo Police Department Officer’s responded to a call reporting a man threatening the caller with a gun.

The suspect, identified as Joseph Davis (34), was reportedly arguing with his landlord. As the dispute escalated, Davis pulled out a firearm and pointed it at his landlord. Fortunately, the victim was able to safely escape the apartment and called 911.

Officers arrested Davis and took him into custody without any further incident. They confiscated 3 weapons including the one used in the altercation. All the weapons found were legally registered to Davis.

Davis was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for brandishing a firearm and Felony assault with a deadly weapon.
