San Jose Police Seize Firearms and Cannabis in Suspicious Vehicle Encounter
SAN JOSE, CA — “Over the weekend, SJPD Patrol Officers working in Western Division encountered a suspicious vehicle with occupants smoking marijuana. As Officers approached, two of the passengers immediately fled, but were not fast enough. They were quickly detained and during a search, Officers located two firearms, with one being privately made, each with an illegal extended magazine. In addition, a large bag of marijuana and indicia for sale were located during the search.
A 19-year-old adult male suspect was booked into Santa Clara County Jail while a 15-year-old juvenile male suspect was booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall. Our Officers have done it again, utilizing the training they received to be observant, proactive, and quick-thinking. Thanks to that training, we now have two more illegal firearms off San Jose’s streets.”
