Felon Arrested, Stolen BMW Recovered in Nightshift Traffic Stop

CYPRESS, CA – Nightshift officers made contact with an individual inside a 2022 BMW 530i displaying fraudulent license plates near the intersection of Walker Street and St. Ann Avenue over the weekend.

While speaking with the driver, officers observed a loaded revolver underneath his seat. Authorities detained the driver without incident. A subsequent investigation by officers revealed that the vehicle’s vehicle identification number (VIN) had been switched. Official records confirmed that the vehicle was previously reported stolen out of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), where it had been listed as stolen for over a year.
