Guerneville Authorities Arrest Wanted Felon for Alleged Possession of Unregistered Firearm, Narcotics

GUERNEVILLE, CA — “On August 18, 2026, at 3:00 pm, deputies from the Guerneville River Substation went to the 15000 block of Wright Lane in Guerneville for a warrant attempt on an wanted felon. The subject of the warrant, 41-year-old Kasey Crunk of Guerneville, was not located at the residence. Crunk is currently on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS), a form of supervision for certain individuals after they are released from state prison.

While at his residence deputies conducted a probation search in accordance with his PRCS terms and located a loaded firearm, a methamphetamine pipe and approximately 22 grams of suspected cocaine as well as two additional magazines, one of which was loaded. Due to Crunk’s current PRCS status it is illegal for him to possess firearms or ammunition. A short time after the probation search, Crunk was contacted during a vehicle stop near Sebastopol and taken into custody without incident.

Crunk was arrested and booked on his outstanding felony warrant along with the listed charges related to the probation search:

29800(a)(1) PC felon in possession of a firearm
30305(a)(1) PC felon in possession of ammunition
25850(c)(6) PC possession of an unregistered firearm
11351 HS possession of a narcotic for sales
11364(a) HS possession of drug paraphernalia

He is currently being held without bail.

This arrest highlights the importance of proactive policing. Deputies’ efforts to locate a wanted felon resulted in the recovery of a firearm, ammunition, and suspected drugs.”
