Monterey Police Arrest 35-Year-Old in Minor Solicitation Investigation
MONTEREY, CA — On July 24, 2026, officers with the Monterey Police Department initiated an investigation into a report concerning a juvenile receiving obscene and sexually explicit text messages from an adult male. Investigators identified the individual sending the messages as 35-year-old Michael Aliotti. According to police reports, Aliotti engaged in minor solicitation by transmitting sexually explicit content to the victim and expressing an intent to meet the juvenile for sexual purposes.
Through subsequent investigative efforts, Monterey Police Department detectives learned that Aliotti planned to meet the victim at the Del Monte Shopping Center later that evening. At approximately 10:10 p.m., Aliotti arrived at the location, where he was taken into custody by law enforcement without incident.
Aliotti was transported and booked into the Monterey Police Department Jail on multiple charges, including sending obscene material to a minor, contacting a minor for sexual interest, arranging to meet a minor for sexual interest, and traveling to a designated meeting place for sexual interest involving a minor. Bail was set at $50,000, and Aliotti subsequently posted bond. The investigation remains active, and the department has requested anyone with relevant information to contact law enforcement.
