Juvenile suspect arrested for attempted murder after stabbing
“At approximately 6:30 p.m. on August 11, South Lake Tahoe Police officers responded to a report a stabbing at Whole Foods market, deemed as an attempted murder.
Officers arrived on scene and located a 42 year old male being tended to by witnesses in the outdoor seating area. The victim had multiple stab wounds and was transported to Barton hospital.
Officers learned that the suspect fled the area on foot.
SLT officers located & detained the suspect, see running on foot, in the Ski Run area.
The suspect was a 15-year-old juvenile.
It was determined that the suspect and the victim were unknown to one another. The stabbing was unprovoked.
The teen suspect was booked into the El Dorado County juvenile treatment center on a charge of attempted murder on a no bail hold.
SLT police want to thank the community for attending to the victim.”
