Suspect Arrested After Vallejo Police Respond to Armed Traffic Dispute
VALLEJO, CA — “On August 1, 2026, at approximately 11:54 a.m., officers assigned to the Vallejo Police Department Patrol Division responded to the area of Lewis Brown Drive and Commercial Street after receiving a 911 call reporting that a driver had pointed a firearm at another motorist as a result of a traffic dispute.
When officers arrived, the victim flagged them down and immediately pointed out the suspect, who had remained at the scene, standing near his pickup truck. The victim told officers he observed the suspect hand the firearm to the passenger, who concealed it in a nearby bush before officers arrived. Officers safely detained the suspect without incident while other officers searched the area.
During the search, officers recovered the firearm from the bush where the victim reported it had been hidden. The victim positively identified both the suspect and the recovered firearm. The victim told officers he feared he was going to be shot when the suspect pointed the firearm at him.
After being advised of his Miranda rights, the suspect admitted he retrieved the firearm from inside his truck because he believed the victim was going to confront him. The suspect also admitted he pointed the firearm in the victim’s direction and told officers he carried the firearm because he feared for his safety while in Vallejo.
A records check showed that the suspect lived in Fairfield, CA, and that his firearm was reported stolen from Sacramento County. The suspect was arrested and booked into Solano County Jail on multiple felony charges, including offenses related to possessing a loaded stolen firearm.
