One Man and 4 Juveniles Arrested In Connection with a Burglary Ring

CONCORD — A multi-agency investigation uncovered a burglary ring, resulting in the recovery of
more than 500 stolen power tools, and other evidence.
Wuillian H. Cordova-Cubias, 37, of Oakland, allegedly served as a fence for juvenile co-conspirators. Concord detectives arrested Cordova-Cubias on August 7.
Cordova-Cubias remains in custody at the West County Detention Facility in lieu of $230,000 bond.
Charges were filed against him for receiving stolen vehicles and stolen property, and conspiracy to
commit crime with juvenile co-conspirators. He is also charged with possession of a firearm by a
prohibited person. All the charges include enhancements that increase potential penalties.
Cordova-Cubias allegedly purchased power tools from the juveniles on multiple occasions for resale.
Juvenile suspects are implicated in thefts of vehicles, which were used to commit additional crimes.
Garage door openers left inside stolen vehicles were used to open garage doors to steal power tools.
Concord detectives working with Richmond police identified four juvenile suspects. Three juveniles
were arrested in July, and a fourth suspect was already in custody at Juvenile Hall for an unrelated
matter.
Surveillance videos recorded armed juveniles stealing power tools and 14 firearms, according to
Concord police. Two firearms reported stolen during a Concord burglary were recovered during
searches of the juveniles’ residences in July. Another firearm was recovered by Richmond police
during its investigation.
Multiple agencies involved in the takedown of the burglary ring include the U.S. Marshals Service and
Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office. Other agencies that provided law enforcement assistance include
Antioch, Oakland and Pittsburg police.
