Fresno Police Arrest Suspect in Fatal Shooting of Marione Tsegay
FRESNO, CA — “On Saturday, August 8, 2026, at approximately 9:23 PM, Central Policing District officers responded to the area of Fruit Avenue and Shields Avenue regarding shots fired in the area. Officers found 26-year-old Marione Tsegay, determined she had been struck by gunfire and she was transported by EMS to CRMC. Despite life-saving efforts by medical personnel, Victim Tsegay was pronounced deceased.
Homicide Detectives determined that multiple individuals attended a house party in the area and believe an argument between the decedent and 24-year-old, Nemadia Knuckles, occurred prior to the shooting. Based on the investigation, Knuckles was booked into the Fresno County Jail for the charge of murder.
