STONYFORD, CA. — The Colusa County Task Force executed a search warrant on July 30, 2026, targeting several suspected illegal marijuana cultivation sites in Stonyford, California.
The operation took place in the 4000 block of Sites Lodoga Road and covered three separate parcel locations within the Squaw Creek area. Multi-agency support for the action included the Colusa Police Department, Williams Police Department, California Department of Fish and Wildlife Cannabis Enforcement Program, and Fish and Wildlife K9 units.
During the search, law enforcement officers dismantled five separate illegal cultivation sites and eradicated more than 4,400 illicit marijuana plants. Specialists from the Department of Fish and Wildlife identified that three of the five sites caused damage to local natural creek beds.
Two suspects were apprehended at the scene following a brief attempt to flee. Both individuals face multiple felony charges, including seven counts of cultivating marijuana and polluting or damaging a waterway, as well as two counts of felony conspiracy.
According to officials, the operation reflects the task force’s continuing efforts to address illegal marijuana cultivation across Colusa County.
