Stolen Vehicle Recovered & Probationer Arrested Following Suspicious Vehicle Report
MURRIETA, CA — “If you’re going to steal a vehicle with no license plates and major damage… maybe don’t park it in front of your own residence. #ProTip. It’s kind of like wearing a T-shirt that says “Nothing Suspicious Here” while spray-painting “Definitely Not Stolen” on the side of a car.
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle and quickly located the BMW parked in a driveway. A records check revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen recently from a nearby city.
Through a thorough investigation, officers learned the suspect was on probation and the stolen vehicle was parked directly in front of the probationer’s residence.
Officers conducted a probation check and located the male. A probation check of the residence was also conducted and items of paraphernalia were also recovered. Officers made an arrest and the stolen vehicle was recovered.
