“On 12-06-2023 at approximately 8:15 AM, the Corona Police Department responded to the 600 block of N Main Street regarding an armed robbery. The victim, a homeless male, reported that he was underneath the Main Street bridge at the Santa Ana River Canal when another homeless male threatened him with a shotgun and struck him in the arm with it.

The suspect, Agustin Hinojoza-Alvarado (30 years – homeless Corona), then grabbed a chain and threatened the victim with it. The victim fled the area as the suspect took the victim’s bike and sleeping bag.

Officers responded to the bridge and located Agustin hiding among numerous items of trash and property. The suspect was taken into custody without incident, and a shotgun was found nearby. Corona PD also located the victim’s stolen property and returned it.

The HOPE team responded to address the homeless camp and began the cleanup of the camp.”
