Visalia Police Investigate Armed Robbery of $6,000 in Lottery Tickets from Smoke Shop
VISALIA, CA – Detectives from the Visalia Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a local commercial business on North Ben Maddox Way, resulting in the theft of thousands of dollars in merchandise.
At approximately 8:40 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 5 Kingz Smoke Shop after receiving emergency calls regarding an armed robbery in progress. According to preliminary reports, two unidentified males entered the retail establishment and forcibly took approximately $6,000 worth of lottery tickets. The individuals fled the location prior to the arrival of law enforcement personnel.
Department officials confirmed that no store employees or bystanders sustained physical injuries during the encounter.
