Salinas Resident Arrested for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material Following ICAC Investigation

SALINAS, CA – A Monterey County resident surrendered to law enforcement on Monday, May 18, 2026, following an investigation conducted by the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

The investigation began on March 4, 2026, when ICAC detectives executed a search warrant at a residence along Berry Drive in rural Salinas. During the operation, law enforcement personnel seized multiple electronic devices for forensic analysis. Following the execution of subsequent search warrants and further investigation, the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Jonathan D. Berry, voluntarily reported to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.

Berry was placed under arrest and booked into the Monterey County Jail. He faces charges under California Penal Code Section 311.11(a) PC for the possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office stated that the case remains under investigation.
