Two Arrested After Stolen Vehicle & Firearm Recovered

“At approximately 3 a.m. May 7 Sacramento North Patrol Deputies recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested 45-year-old Marcus Wandick and 36-year-old Derwin Mulwee after locating them attempting to walk away from the car.

While being contacted, Deputies observed Mulwee attempting to conceal a backpack, whercie they located a loaded .38 caliber handgun, sometimes referred to as a “.38 Special,” as well as narcotics paraphernalia. Deputies confirmed Mulwee is a convicted felon, is on felony probation, and is prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition.

Deputies learned Wandick was driving the vehicle and was found in possession of the vehicle keys. Wandick also had a felony no-bail warrant for vehicle theft and several other misdemeanor warrants. Both suspects were booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on related charges.

The victim later responded to the scene and was able to recover her stolen vehicle.”
